Hardware Structural Engineer


Job Responsibilities

  • Take charge of the design, process formulation and troubleshooting of product appearance, structures, components and packaging materials; control design quality, development schedule and overall development costs for related items.
  • Conduct evaluations covering product appearance, structures, components and packaging materials.
  • Evaluate new component materials; participate in supplier qualification assessments for newly introduced suppliers of structures, components and packaging materials; carry out development work for material substitution of structures, components and packaging materials.
  • Provide technical support for product certification, after-sales service, pilot production and supplier audits.
  • Standardize the design management of appearance, structures, components and packaging materials; supervise the development workflow for the above items; standardize and archive development documents; maintain structural development procedures and design specifications.
  • Manage outsourced development projects related to appearance, structures, components and packaging materials.
  • Create, file and maintain BOMs for structures and packaging materials; confirm material specifications, arrange prototype sampling, complete material verification and sign off final samples for structures, components and packaging materials.
  • Accumulate structural technical know-how and lead patent application work for appearance, structures, components and packaging materials.
  • Fully implement work assignments issued by the company, department and supervisors to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Candidates with prior experience in charging pile stacking and structural design will be given priority.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in stacking and structural design & development; proven track record of independently leading the full-cycle design (from stacking layout to mass production) of at least 5 finished products.
  • Strong self-management skills with excellent communication and cross-team coordination capabilities to drive project progress.
  • Pragmatic, sincere and accountable; equipped with outstanding learning agility and stress resistance.
  • Proficient in design software including Pro/E, AutoCAD and other relevant structural design tools.
